A secret military operation in the Soviet Union goes wrong.
Twenty-five years later, two corpses are found in Oslo at short intervals. Is it a matter of vengeance, or does anyone want to cover their tracks? The issues are becoming increasingly burning to solve and police officers, Kafa Iqbal and Fredrik Beier is trying to puzzle together all the threads. Who is Kalypso? Why does she have to die?
The successor to the successful debut The secret brotherhood from Vienna has been celebrated as a masterful thriller: "Ingar Johnsrud continues to create criminal literature at the international top level."
I read The secret brotherhood from Vienna last year and it was a brilliant book I was looking forward to reading the sequel Kalypso. And you know what? This book is even better. I liked the story of The Secret Brotherhood from Vienna, but I found the story in Kalypso's incredibly captivating. At first, the book has so many different storylines that did not seem to have much in common, but the more the time went, and the story of the book progressed did the different storylines show that there were connections between different murder cases in the present time and an operation in the Soviet Union twenty-five years earlier.
Kafa Iqbal and Fredrik Beier has to work hard to find the answers to a mystery that originated twenty-five years earlier. The question is who is Kalypso, what's her connection to the mystery in the Soviet Union so many years before? The book is very compelling to read, with connections to the previous book, The secret brotherhood from Vienna and now I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
