Femton år har gått sedan förortspolisen Napoleon ”Nap” Dumas bror Leo och dennes flickvän Diana dog i vad som antogs vara ett självmord eller en olyckshändelse. Samma natt försvann även Naps tjej Maura utan förklaring.

Nap har aldrig slutat nysta i vad som egentligen hände. Och när Mauras fingeravtryck dyker upp i en misstänkt mördares hyrbil kommer han allt närmare sanningen – om den kvinna han älskade, de barndomsvänner han trodde att han kände och Leos och Dianas tragiska dödsfall.

Inte utan dig är en kraftfull thriller, i vilken Harlan Coben med oöverträffad spänning och känslomässig inblick utforskar hur stora hemligheter och små lögner kan ödelägga ett förhållande, en familj och i förlängningen en hel stad.

Det är nu flera år sedan jag läste min första Harlan Coben bok, och jag blir lika superglad varje gång jag får en ny bok att läsa. Coben är en fantastiskt bra författare och hans böcker är ofta svåra att sluta läsa.

Inte utan dig, är om jag får vara ärlig inte bland de bästa av Coben jag har läst. Dock är den ändå bra och Cobens sköna stil gör boken snabbläst och engagerande. Det kan vara så att jag fortväntar mig mycket mer av Coben, flera överraskande vändningar. Jag bara älskar Cobens böcker när han totalt överraskar mig med en vändning jag aldrig hade förväntat mig. Denna bok saknade sådana vändningar. Inte ens slutet förvånade mig. Samt, även om jag gillade Napoleon “Nap” Dumas så räckte det med en litet gästspel av Myron Bolitar för jag skulle sakna honom och Win. Myron Bolitar är så otroligt härlig att jag hade föredragit en ny bok med honom istället. Naps berättelse, hans tvillingbrors död och Mauras försvinnande funkade helt enkelt inte för mig.

Inte utan dig är en helt OK bok, men den är absolut läsvärd. Harlan Coben är en lysande författare, och även om berättelsen i denna bok inte helt föll mig till smaken så är den ändå bra.

It's been years since I read my first Harlan Coben book, and every time I see that he is releasing a new book do I rejoice. He's such a fabulous writer and his books are the kinds that I often can't put down until I finished reading.

Now Don't Let Go, to be honest, isn't among the best I read, but it's still a good book, with the Coben's usual writing style. I just think that I expect too much from Coben and this book just didn't have the usual story with lots of twists and turns. I love how Coben usually pulls the rug out from beneath your feet several times during the story, but I lacked some seriously shocking twist. Now even the last twist towards the end felt really surprising. Also, Napoleon “Nap” Dumas was not a bad character, but having Myron Bolitar showing up for a short cameo just made me miss Myron (and Win) and Nap is just not as interesting to read about. His losses in life, twin brother, and Maura never really got to me and here lies one of the big problems with this book. I just didn't feel that Nap's sad story gripped me.

Don't Let Go is a book that was OK to read, not among the best Coben books I have read, but pleasant enough. A decent thriller that could have been better if it had had a more surprising storyline.

It's been some years since I read my first Harlan Coben book. Since then have I read pretty much every single one. Luckily I still have some left to read. Alas with HOME now read have I now no Myron Bolitar book left to read. I was really thrilled to have this one waiting to be read. Or actually listened to since I decided to go for the audio version instead. The only drawback was trying not smile or laugh at work when the dialog between Myron and his (very dangerous) best friend Win is very funny. Speaking of Win. HE'S BACK! Myron and Win are back working together trying to find two missing boys.

HOME is a fabulous book, straight through thrilling with a heartbreaking ending. The writing is top-notch and I just LOVE the banter between Myron and Win. I don't want to give much of the story away, but it's a roller coaster ride, action from the very first page to the last. I love that Win have a personal connection to this case and one part I love the most in Myron remembering the first meeting with Win.

If you haven't read a single Myron Bolitar book, heck if you never read something by Harlan Coben, and if you love thrillers, then you must check out Coben's books. They are amazing!

Harlan Coben är en författare som är fantastisk på att skriva en spännande thriller. Jag älskar särskilt hans Myron Bolitar-serie. I Sanningen har Coben återigen skrivit en intressant berättelse där ingenting är som det verkar. Jag gillade omedelbart Maya och det var intressant att läsa om hur hon försöker hantera situationen att vara en ensamstående mamma, ex-soldat och på det tillkommer ett mysterium, ett omöjligt mysterium då hon seer något som inte kan vara sant i babykameran. Hennes man dog eller gjorde han? Hon måste ta reda på sanningen och det betyder att konfrontera sitt eget förflutna; hennes uppsägning från armén, hennes systers mord som skedde inte så långt innan innan hennes man mördades och hennes mans brors död för några år sedan. Kan det vara så att de har kopplingar till varandra, eller är allt bara en slump? Och, vem kan hon lita på, det verkar som om många människor runt henne har hemligheter...

Jag kunde inte sluta läsa Sanningen när jag väl hade börjat . På kvällen var jag var fullt inställd på just ett kapitel till men istället läste jag klart den. Boken kanske inte hade lika många överraskningar som i några av Cobens tidigare böcker, men det är fortfarande en alldeles fantastisk bok. Något som Coben är bra på är att skapa huvudkaraktärer man bryr sig om och besynnerliga mysterier. Sanningen är en mycket bra bok, och jag älskade särskilt den sista delen av boken när man börjar inse sanningen. Jag misstänkte slutet men ändå kunde jag inte räknad ut allting som skulle ske.

Jag rekommenderar varmt Harlan Cobens böcker om du gillar bladvändande thrillers med flertalet överraskande vändningar i historien.

Harlan Coben is an author that really is the king when it comes to writing a suspenseful thriller. I especially love his Myron Bolitar series. In Fool Me Once has Coben once again written an interesting story where nothing is at it seems. I instantly liked Maya and it was interesting to read about her trying to deal with being a single mother, an ex-soldier and to add to that a mystery, an impossible mystery. Her husband died, or did he? She must find out the truth and that means confronting her own past; her dismissal from the army, her sister's murder not long before her husband was murdered, and her husband's brothers death a couple of years ago. Could they be connected, or is everything just a coincidence? And, who can she trust, it seems that a lot of people around her have secrets...

I read the book in a day. I thought I would just read one more chapter and then go back to sleep, and I ended up finishing the book. The twists in this book were not that astonishing as they have been in some of Coben's previous books, but it's still a page-turner. What I like about Coben's books are that I always like the main character and the mysteries are always intriguing. Fool Me Once is a very good book, and I particularly loved the last part of the book when everything started to come together. True, I was not astonished, but I did find the twists in the book well-done and satisfying.

I recommend reading Harlan Coben's books if you like page-turning thrillers with lots of twist and turns.

Adam Price är gift med en vacker kvinna, har två underbara söner, ett välbetalt jobb och ett stort hus. Han har ett perfekt liv tills han möter främlingen. Snart inser Adam att hans äktenskap är baserat på en mörk lögn, och han dras in i en konspiration där människoliv står på spel.

Främlingen skildrar på ett skrämmande sätt vilka krafter som kan släppas lösa när den lögn som våra liv bygger på plötsligt avslöjas. Det är en mörk thriller om människans behov att uppnå sina mål till vilket pris som helst.

Harlan Coben har lyckats igen. Det skulle jag kunna inleda varje recension med har jag en känsla av. Men så är Harlan Coben en av mina favoritförfattare och det finns ett väldigt bra skäl till till varför det är så och det är för att han om och om skriver fantastisk bra böcker. Främlingen är inget undantag, den börjar kolossalt bra med att en främling kommer fram till Adam Price och berättar en hemlighet som Adams fru har och Adam vill inte tro på främlingens ord men långsamt förgiftar det hans sinne och till slut måste han konfrontera henne och det blir starten på en spännande och förbryllande thriller.

Nu vill jag inte på något sätt avslöja handlingen i denna bok, Främlingen är en bok som bör läsas utan tidigare vetskap om vad som kommer att hända. Men jag vill poängtera att boken är oerhört intressant och att Harlan Cobens förmåga att skapa intressanta karaktärer är som vanligt på topp. Jag läste nästan klart boken samma dag jag fick boken, men tyvärr var jag tvungen att arbeta dagen efter så jag fick vänta med slutet till dagen efter. Det enda med boken jag saknade var ett mer wow slut. Inte för att slutet på något sätt var dåligt, men jag kände att det saknade det lilla extra.

Främlingen kan sälla sig till resten av Harlan Cobens grupp av fantastiska thrillers. Personligen så anser jag att om man ska välja en thrillerförfattare att läsa så är Coben val nummer 1!

Harlan Coben has once again done it! I have a feeling I could start any review with that when it comes to Coben's books. But, then again Harlan Coben is one of my favorite writers and there is a very good reason for it and that is his ability to over and over write great books. The Stranger is no exception, it starts tremendously good with a stranger telling Adam Price a secret that Adam's wife has and Adam do not want to believe the stranger's words, but slowly it is poisoning it his mind and finally he must confront her and that becomes the start of an exciting and intriguing thriller.

Now I will not in any way reveal the plot of this book, the Stranger is a book that should be read with no prior knowledge of what was going to happen. But I want to point out that the book is extremely interesting and Harlan Coben's ability to create interesting characters are as usual on top. I almost finished the book the same day I got it, but unfortunately, I had to work the day after so I had to wait to finish it to the day after. The only thing with the book that I felt was missing was a more wow ending. Not that the end was somehow bad, but I felt it lacked that little extra.

The Stranger can join the rest of Harlan Coben's group of amazing thrillers. Personally, I think that if you have to choose a thriller writer to read is so Coben choice number 1!

Kriminalinspektör Kat Donovan har inte sett sin ex-fästman Jeff på flera år och blir synnerligen överraskad över att se honom på en dejtingsajt, men det är något konstigt med det hela och när Brandon, en ung kille tar kontakt med Kat för att få hennes hjälp att hitta hans mamma börja hon långsamt nysta upp ett mysterium som har kopplingar till dejtingsajten. Samtidigt så får hon reda på att hennes pappas mördare är döende i fängelset och hon beslutar sig för att göra ett sista försök att få reda på sanningen om vad som hände när hennes pappa blev mördad 20 år tidigare...

När det kommer till thrillers så är Harlan Coben en av mina absoluta favorit författare. Det finns ingen som kans skriva böcker med vändningarna i handlingen så som han gör. Saknar dig är inget undantag. Från början till slut är det superb, med en handlingen som man inte kan lista ut. Jag läste boken i stort sett på en dag för jag kunde inte sluta läsa. Det kan också bero på att Coben är himla bra på att skriva, varje kapitel slutar i stor sett med en cliffhanger så man bara måste läsa ett kapitel till, och ett till...osv...

Kat har aldrig kommit över sin fars död och kort efter det så lämnade Jeff henne och hon har i grund och botten aldrig kommit över det eller och att nu få kontakt med Jeff igen får henne att inse att hon aldrig kommit över honom. Men är han inblandad i Brandons mammas försvinnande? Är hon ens försvunnen? Och, allting med hennes fars mord, vad hände egentligen för 20 år sedan? Boken har många intressant sidospår och jag kunde inte alls räknade ut allting, dock vad slutet inte en total överraskning (jag hade mina misstankar åt det hållet) även om den var förkrossade bra. Jag gillade Kat väldigt mycket och hennes kompis Stacy som fixade kontot till henne på dejtingsajten. Skulle gärna se flera böcker med dem i huvudrollerna.

Slutligen vill jag bara säga att boken är mycket bra och jag älskar denna lilla kopplingen till Win Horne Lockwood från Myron Bolitar serien.

NYPD Detective Kat Donovan hasn't seen her ex-fiance Jeff in several years and she gets really surprised when she sees him on an online dating site. But, there is something weird with the whole thing and when Brandon, a young guy contacts her to get her to help him find his missing mother is she slowly starting to unravel a mystery with connections to the dating site. At the same time, she learns that her father's killer is dying in jail. She decides to contact him to for the last time to get the truth out of him what really happened when he killed her father 20 years ago.

When it comes to thrillers is Harlan Coben one of my favorite authors. There is no one that can write books with twists like him. Missing You is not an exception. From the beginning until the end is the book superb, with a story you can't figure out completely. I read the book almost during just one day because I just couldn't stop reading it. Coben is just such a great writer, with chapters that often ends in cliffhangers. When I read this book I often thought I will just read one more chapter, and then just one more, etc.

Kat has never gotten over her father's death and shortly after that Jeff left her and she realizes now that she has found Jeff again that she hasn't really gotten over him either. But, is he involved with Brandon's mother's disappearance? Has she really disappeared? And, what really happened 20 years ago when Kat's father was murdered? The book has many interesting sidetracks and I have to admit that I couldn't figure much of what was going on until it was revealed. Well, the ending was not a total surprise, although I didn't know of it all had happened, but I wasn't that surprised, but still, it was a good ending. I liked Kat and I also liked her friend Stacy (that fixed Kat an account on the dating site) very much and wouldn't mind reading more books with them as the main characters.

In the end, I just want to say that the book is truly good and that I love the little connecting to Win Horne Lockwood from the Myron Bolitar series.
